ASA-IM Organized Soy Product Promotion Series
To most Bangladeshis, soybean is only known as a source of quality cooking oil. Its potential as a nutrition source is not yet fully realized. Thus, ASA-IM recently organized a series of soy product exhibitions in several large cities of Bangladesh including Dhaka, Bogra, Khulna, Rajshahi, Chittagong and Sylhet. The objective in organizing these exhibitions was to introduce high quality and nutritive US soy food and feed products into the Bangladeshi market. US soybean oil brands were also displayed. Soy-based animal feed ingredients such as soy protein concentrate, hi-pro soybean meal and a few readymade feeds were showcased in the exhibition, targeted at representatives from livestock and feed industries. ASA-IM hope to continue organizing such exhibitions in other large cities and towns of the country.
